Cause and effect

Believe it or not but dance is a series of influences and outcomes. Something had to lead up to an event which then leads to the outcome of the event. Every movement the dancer makes follows a pattern. The patterns the movements follow are influences, event, and outcome. If a dancer is preparing to do a leap and falls then the influences for that leap are having enough speed, pushing off the ground or contracting the muscles. The event is the leap. The outcomes spraining an ankle, belittling them self or brushing off to do it again. This pattern continues with everything they do. So more examples would be doing a turn
Influences – the move firs the music, you love to do turns or it’s apart of a sequence
Event- does the turn
Outcomes- someone took video and sent to a contest, you get dizzy, knee gives out.
All of this is apart of the dancers life as well as everyone’s life. Every movement and reaction is following the same pattern.

advocacy

In today's society more people are praised for their creativity. Creativity is useful for people of all ages. If Stephen King was not praised for his creativity then we would not have the scary movies that we have today. Even with advertisements the way the companies show their products or come out with a new product is because they had been creative at one point in their life. So wouldn't you agree that dance classes teach children to be creative? Dancing allows children and others to freely express an emotion. The dancers can dance as an inanimate object or one that lives and breathes as well. Creating a new dance show how creative a dancer can be. Modern dancers actually make up new moves with every dance. Modern dancers do not follow the basic rule for structured dance, they just move with their feelings. Creativity and dancing go hand in hand, because with being creative nobody would have made the first forms of ballet, and ballet started most other dance forms.

narrative

Walking into my local YMCA, I decided to take a look at the list of exercise classes that they offer. Noticing that they offered a class that was currently being held in a room upstairs at that time. Zumba, the first thing that came to mind when I read this name was “isn’t that a tribe in Africa?” Going into the class I had no idea what to expect. Music was blearing and people were following the Latin style dance moves of the instructor on stage. There was a mixture if men and women dancing across the floor. When the class ended I stopped a class member asking if this was just a dance class or an aerobics class, the member had explained that it was a combination of the two. The member then explained the amount of weight she had lost without the feeling of doing aerobics. She stated that it felt more like a dance party then a workout session. Leaving the YMCA that day, with the decision to take a Zumba class could be the best decision made. This fast growing class has helped many people.
